New York City

Reeves. Modern English Tailoring.

'Reeves is a true bespoke tailoring house. Focused exclusively on only the highest quality work, bench made locally in New York. ... From Savile Row to NYC.'

David Reeves is the creator and proprietor of REEVES.

Originally from a working-class town outside of Manchester in the North of England, David was never satisfied with the ordinary. Inspired by a Modernist ethos, David began getting his own suits custom made for himself as a teenager. As a young Graphic Arts student in Leeds, David was quickly swept up by the world of fine tailoring joining the Savile Row house Gieves & Hawkes at the age of 19.

Over the next 11 years David stayed in the business making his way up in the world of tailoring and fashion. He worked for many influential names in the UK and U.S.A such as Richard James of Savile Row, Prada, Commes Des Garcons and Timothy Everest. His roles where always client facing and he was entrusted to deal with many high profile clients including two British Prime Ministers, members of the English Aristocracy, and "Pop Royalty" such as Elton John, Bryan Ferry, Nick Cave and Paul McCartney.

In 2007 at the age of 30 he decided to establish his own business in New York.

Reeves is a small business that produces around 300 Bespoke suits per year, we are focused on quality Bespoke work exclusively, so we do not offer Made to Measure (MTM), shirts or accessories, rather we simply strive to make the finest Bespoke suits anywhere in the world. To this end David Reeves searches out and works with the very best cutters, tailors and finishers locally in NYC holding them to exceptionally high standards of production not often seen in the modern world. His fabrics and materials used are always the very best with "standard" cloths being high end cloths such as Loro Piana Tasmanian, Zegna Trofeo and Dormeuil Amadeus.

David has an extremely hands-on approach with his team and clients, he is involved in every aspect of production and works to form a longstanding relationship with everyone of his clients.

The "house style" is unapologetically English with a strong Savile Row and usually more subtle Modernist influence, by constantly seeking out innovative and luxurious cloths we also have a creative and directional finish.
